Carol Ann Allen

Carol Ann Allen, 69, of El Cajon, California; formerly of Hartford, Michigan, passed
away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Sharp Hospice Lakeview Home in La Mesa, California.
Carol was born Feb. 20, 1944, in Watervliet, MI, the daughter of Theodore and Ruth
(Hamill) Phillips, both of whom preceded her in passing. Carol graduated from Hartford High School , class of 1962. In 1965 she married her lifelong partner, Jerry Warren Allen, (El Cajon, CA), who survives.
Carol also leaves behind 3 children; Sheila Allen (El Cajon, CA), Shelly Allen (El Cajon, CA), and
Carol also leaves behind 3 children; Sheila Allen (El Cajon, CA), Shelly Allen (El Cajon, CA), and
Jeremiah “Jay” (Rhashayla) Allen (Lakeside, CA), and also 2 grandchildren; Elijah Allen (6) and Jesiah Allen (2), along with several brothers and sisters. In addition to raising 3 children she worked as a CNA, including several years employed with Van Buren County Mental Health Services.
In 2005, Carol and Jerry moved to the San Diego, CA. area, where they have spent the last several years enjoying the beautiful California sunshine. Carol loved spending time with her family and going on various outings, including drives to the beach, trips to the San Diego Zoo. the Wild Animal Park, and Harbor cruises on the Pacific Ocean.
She will be forever loved and dearly missed by her friends and family.
